Ogden’s Art Academy's mission is to bring a Renaissance to Ogden. Ogden’s Art Club was formed to create a community to teach and inspires all artists - from the novice to the professional. Our goal is to provide an environment that will nurture every student and encourage each individual’s unique artistic talent. All that is required is a willingness to learn and share and let your creativity flourish and grow to inspire our entire community. Ogden's Art Club breaks down art just like your math teacher breaks down equations. Each component is made simple so the most complicated concepts can be achieved.
Where you start:
Drawing isn't about talent. It's about really seeing what is there and learning techniques to capture it. Painting is just drawing with paint. Your journey will take you as far as you want to go. Your destination is completely up to you. We will give you the springboard to get you there.
What you will need:
For the first class the Academy provides all the supplies for the line course.. After the first class you will need to purchase Prismacolor NuPastels. There are 4 levels to this course. How fast you progress through the levels depends on where you are in your journey and how long it take you to acquire the skills needed to be successful at drawing.
After graduating from the line course:
Children will proceed into watercolor.
A step by step process will be taught to make sure they get a solid foundation on watercolor techniques. Just like a math formula, art an be broken into levels to produce the desired result.
Adults can choose to go into watercolor or oils after the line course.
Where you will end up:
Frustration will melt away as your creativity becomes reality. You will be able to create what you intended and painting will become enjoyable and relaxing.
